Checking your license is active/accessible
‚ÄčSymptom:

Remedies:

1) Check your key (dongle) is connected to your PC. You should see it in the CodeMeter Control Panel.
      - To start the Control Panel, in Windows 10, type "Code Meter Control Center" in the "Type here to search" edit box, near the start menu. The app should appear, click it.
      - You should see an app and entry similar to this:

- Make sure the number shown matches the number on your dongle - it is laser etched and quite small.
- Also, you should see the dongle in Windows Explorer, as a drive letter. Example:

2) If you have a timed password, check the date of the password using the "WebAdmin" button in the CodeMeter Control Panel:

.. this will launch a web browser.

Check the date entry for at least one item is not in the past. If so, you will need a new password.

3) If you're using a network license, ask you IT department to check that the license server is available and online. Also, check that the number of concurrent seats is not maxed out - for example - if you have a single floating seat, make sure no one else on the network is using it as this will cause this error. The "License Monitoring" option on the same web page can help find out who is using it.

4) Check you're not using an option you do not have a license for. For example, if you try to run Nucleo, but only have a Wire EDM license, you will get this message. Likewise, if you install a post-processor for Wire EDM and you don't have the correct license, you will get this message.

5) If you get a similar message trying to access a certain CAD file type, you probably don't have that CAD importer on your license.
