CodeMeter - Creating a Hardware Locked License Request (with CodeMeterAct Virtual Stick)

1) Install CodeMeter - the EXE is here:

2) Open the CodeMeter Control Center (Double-click on the icon in your Windows taskbar notification area/system tray (near the clock) or go to Start – Programs – CodeMeter – CodeMeter Control Center). Alternatively, in the Windows Taskbar, use the search option and look for "CodeMeter Control Center".
This will open a dialog similar to the one below:

3) Locate the CodeMeterAct.wbb file on your OPTICAM Setup media, an example is below:

... or find it attached.

4) Browse to the location of the CodeMeterAct.wbb - if downloaded, it will most likely be in the Windows Download folder.

5) Arrange your desktop so that Windows Explorer is alongside the CodeMeter Control Panel:

... drag and drop the CodeMeterAct.wbb file from Explorer to the left panel in the CodeMeter Control Panel:

... this will show it in the panel:

6) Click on the button labelled "Activate License" and the CmFAS Assistant will open:

... click "Next".
... click "Next".

7) Note the location where the request-file will be created.
Quick shortcut: Highlight the complete text in the edit box and copy it (keyboard shortcut CTRL-C).

Click "Commit".

8) Open your email client and attach the file - send it to support@optisolutionsusa.com.

If you copied the path to the file as above using CTRL-V, it should be on the Clipboard. You can quickly attach the file to the email without remembering the path it is located in, simply use the attach file icon (normally a paperclip) in your email app and paste it in the file-to-attach edit box using keyboard shortcut CTRL-V followed by [Enter].

9) You will be sent a password file to activate your software. Please keep in mind that these passwords are generated from Camtek Germany so please remember the six-hour time difference.  When you receive the new file back, please open it on the computer where the OPTICAM dongle is connected with the "Default Application". It will prompt you to load the contents of the file into the CodeMeter dongle, and once successful, the licence will be installed.
