How do I create a license receipt file to confirm my update?

Sometimes, after you successfully install a new license update, our support team needs a License Receipt. This file simply confirms that the update was successfully loaded onto your USB dongle or computer, allowing us to finalize your account records.

1. Open CodeMeter Control Center

Make sure your USB dongle is securely plugged into your computer (if you use a physical dongle).

  • Click the Start menu and search for CodeMeter Control Center.
  • Alternatively, click the blue and grey "Cm" icon in your Windows system tray near the clock.

2. Launch the License Update Assistant

  • In the CodeMeter Control Center window, look at the list on the left side and click on your license (the dongle or virtual stick).
  • Click the License Update button on the right side. This will open the License Update Assistant.
  • Click Next on the welcome screen.

3. Choose the Receipt Option

This step looks very similar to requesting a brand new license, but we need to select the receipt option.

  1. Select the option that says Create receipt (or Create license receipt) and click Next.
  2. The system will automatically select the correct vendor (usually Camtek_GmbH). Click Next.

4. Save and Send the File

Now, you just need to save the file and email it to us.

  • Click the ... (browse) button to choose where to save the file. We recommend saving it to your Desktop so it is easy to find.
  • Click the Commit button to generate the receipt.
  • Once the screen says the process is complete, click Finish.
  • Open your email, attach this new .WibuCmRaC file, and reply to your support ticket or send it to support@optisolutionsusa.com.
