If you are setting up a standalone machine or a license server, follow these steps to install the CodeMeter Runtime environment.

1. Download the Installer

• Visit the official Wibu-Systems Download Page.
• Select the CodeMeter User Software for Windows (64-bit is standard).
• Download the .exe installer to your local machine.

2. Run the Setup Wizard

• Locate the downloaded file, right-click it, and select Run as Administrator.
• Click Next on the Welcome screen.
• Accept Agreement: Read and accept the End-User License Agreement, then click Next.
• Installation Scope: Choose "Install for all users of this computer" and click Next.

3. Custom Setup and Feature Selection

For the most stable performance (especially on license servers), ensure all features are enabled.

• In the feature list, ensure every component is set to "Will be installed on local hard drive."
• Click Next and then click Install.

4. Finalizing and Verification

• Once the status bar completes, click Finish.
• Check the System Tray: Look for the CodeMeter icon (a blue/grey "Cm" logo) near your Windows clock.
• Open Control Center: Search for "CodeMeter Control Center" in your Start menu. If the application opens without errors, the installation is successful.
