Generating License Request (RAC) File
​1) Open the CodeMeter Control Center (Double-click on the icon in your Windows taskbar notification area/system tray (near the clock) or go to Start – Programs – CodeMeter – CodeMeter Control Center).
If you have a network license please open the Control Centre on the Computer / Server on which the Dongle is plugged in.

This will open a dialog similar to the one below:
2) Click on the button labelled License Update and the CmFAS Assistant will open:
3) Select the first option: Create License Request. Click Next 

4 ) Choose the first option: Extend Existing License. Click Next. 
 
5) Check Camtek GmBH option.  Click Next. 
 
6) Click the ... button on the far right of the window to specify where you want to save the file to such as the desktop.  Alternatively, highlight and copy the default path shown in the edit box (these are the keyboard shortcuts once in the edit box: CTRL-A (to highlight), then CTRL-C (to copy)). This copies the path to the clipboard. Then click Commit. 


7) Next click Finish. Close the Code Meter Control Window.  A file similar to the one below should now be on your computer desktop or in the path stated in the file name edit box above:

8) Please e-mail this file to support@optisolutionsusa.com . If you copied the path to the clipboard, you can simply compose an email and use your email's "attach file" icon (normally a paper-clip), and when prompted for the file, you can just paste (CTRL-V) the path into the file name edit box, without browsing for the file.

9) You will be sent a password file to activate your software. Please keep in mind that these passwords are generated from Camtek Germany so please remember the six-hour time difference.  When you receive the new file back, please open it on the computer where the OPTICAM dongle is connected with the "Default Application". It will prompt you to load the contents of the file into the CodeMeter dongle, and once successful, the license will be updated.
