If during the Online Update the user can no longer Open the software and receives a message similar to those below


It can be that windows "knows" that this exe is coming from the internet. With the NFTS filesystem it is possible to hold this attribute.
So you must find a way to delete this attribute or a new installation. Save the old one and reinstall peps in the original folder.  
After this copy the post files from the old into the new installation - Andreas

I believe the safest and simplest solution is the reinstall as Andreas suggested.

In the event that reinstalling and running the Online Update creates the problem again.  Any future updates should be done VIA the ADMIN download option and install.
