This guide will walk you through downloading and installing the PEPS Wire EDM software. Make sure you have Administrator rights on your computer before you start.

1. Download the Software

First, we need to get the installation files from the official website.

1. Open your web browser and go to camtek.de
2. Make sure the website language is set to English.
3. Go to the Support and Service menu at the top, then click the green Downloads button.
4. Select your product (PEPS) and choose your version. (Note: Only the last three versions are actively supported.)
5. Click to download the "Full" installation file at the top of the list. Save this to your Downloads folder.

2. Extract and Run the Setup File

Because the file is large, it comes in a "zipped" folder. You must unzip it before running the setup.

• Open your computer's Downloads folder and find the file you just saved.
• Right-click the downloaded file and select Extract All to unzip it into its own folder.
• Open the new, unzipped folder and look for the file named setup_ (followed by your version year, like setup_2026.exe).
• Right-click this setup file and choose Run as administrator. (If your computer asks for a password, enter it now).

3. Follow the Setup Wizard

Now the installer will guide you through the setup.

1. Choose the language you want to work in.
2. When asked about licensing, select Local Dongle.
3. Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
4. When asked where to install the software and personal data, leave it at the default locations and click Next.
5. On the module selection screen, choose the Wire module and uncheck everything else as shown below. Click Next.
6. Check the box that says Run internet update when finished.
7. Double-check your choices and click Install.

4. Migration Tool and Post Processors

As the installation finishes, a few extra windows will pop up to finalize your setup.

• Migration Tool:  A window for the "CAD CAM Migration Tool" will appear, if you are a brand new user,. Simply click Abort to close it. (This tool is only for older users moving their past settings over).
• Post Processors: A list will pop up asking which post processors you need. Check the boxes next to the specific machines you use in your shop, then click Close.

5. Run the Internet Update

Because we checked the update box earlier, the updater will now run automatically.

1. Select Service pack via internet.
2. Click the All On button to select all available updates, then click Next.
3. Wait for the updates to download and install. Once it is finished, click Close.

6. Open Your Software

You are all done with the installation!

• Go to your computer's desktop and find the new PEPS icon.
• Double-click the icon, select Wire, and choose the post processor you just installed.
• As long as your USB dongle is plugged in and your license is valid, the software will open and be ready to use.
